Jaden's Ladder to Host 2nd Annual Bright Lights, Big City Gala in Boston

Proceeds to be used to fund efforts to help break the cycle of domestic violence

Boston (March 31, 2010) – Jaden’s Ladder, a non-profit organization that promotes life after domestic violence, will host their second annual Bright Lights, Big City Gala in Boston on April 10, 2010 at the State Room from 7-11pm. Coach Willie Maye of Fox Television will be the Master of Ceremonies for the fundraiser event. Special guests include former Boston Celtic - Dana Barros, former Boston Bruin - Byron Dafoe, as well as current Boston Bruins players. The evening will feature dinner, dancing, live entertainment, auctions and more.

"Andruw and I remain committed to Jaden’s Ladder and everything that the organization stands for: promoting strength, perseverance and smart choices, while re-building safe, happy and healthy lives,” said Nicole Jones, wife of Chicago White Sox Outfielder, Andruw Jones, and Jaden’s Ladder Ambassador. "The Jaden’s Ladder program truly changes lives," added Jon Bobbett, Jaden’s Ladder co-founder. “The effectiveness of the program and the transformation you can see in the graduates cannot be understated. As we enter our sixth year, we look forward to continuing to positively impact the lives of women in our community."

Since Jaden’s Ladder’s Boston Chapter was established in 2009, the organization has effectively introduced programs to assist domestic violence survivors throughout the

Boston area. The funds raised at this year’s Bright Lights, Big City Gala will enable Jaden’s Ladder to continue make an impact in Boston, as well as throughout the northeast. States former Boston Celtic, Dana Barros, "As a Boston native, I am proud to be involved with an organization that is truly making a positive difference in the lives of mothers and children in our community. I look forward to the event, and in helping to raise funds to support Jaden’s Ladder in their efforts."
