Jaden’s Ladder to Host Gala Royale: A Gala Benefiting Jaden’s Ladder


July 15, 2010 – PORTSMOUTH, NH - In its continuous quest to create safer communities and a future without domestic violence, Jaden's Ladder, a non-profit organization, will host their 6th Annual Seacoast event with "Gala Royale: A Gala Benefiting Jaden's Ladder" on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel, Rye, NH 6:30 p.m. V.I.P. sponsor reception and 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. for general admission. The magnificent evening will feature a fabulous fashion show by J Boutique, a live performance by Gary Jenkins former member of the R&B band Silk, as well as music by DJ Jodi, casino entertainment, cocktails and dinner, live and silent auctions.

"With such uncertain times in our world right now, Jaden's Ladder is a critical resource for combating domestic violence in the Seacoast communities. We feel the need more and more to be readily available to provide stepping stones for survivors of domestic violence and their families," said Oneta Bobbett, a domestic violence survivor and co-founder of Jaden's Ladder. "Our 2-year post shelter program, assists survivors with a variety of needs from basics such as rent assistance to financial help for legal and medical. As part of the program, the survivors find and secure their own housing, maintain employment, attend counseling sessions and various workshops. By the end of the program, survivors give back to the community by realizing their dreams of being teachers, counselors, business owners or nurses. This is one of our core strengths as an organization."

Special celebrity guests will include Charles Oakley former NBA player of the Chicago Bulls. Special auction items include Seinfeld tickets, Sonoma Wine Extravagance, 2011 ESPY Award tickets, spectacular Diamond necklace donated by Hannoush Jewelers, various sports memorabilia from Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics, Dustin Pedroia and Jason Varitek of the Boston Red Sox, Tom Brady of the New England Patriots and much more. All attendees will receive a gift bag from Callaway as well as donated items from Zakanaka and local merchants. The funds raised at this year's Gala Royale will enable Jaden's Ladder to continue making their mark on the Seacoast area.
