Atlanta Braves’s Andruw and Nicole Jones to host first fundraiser for the new Atlanta Chapter of Jaden’s Ladder

ATLANTA, GA - JANUARY 10, 2006 - Atlanta Braves's Andruw and Nicole Jones announced today that they will host their first fundraiser for Jaden's Ladder, a non-profit organization that assists survivors of domestic violence. As "Jaden's Ladder Ambassadors", they will host the event to celebrate the opening of the Jaden's Ladder Southeast Chapter based in Atlanta, which is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2006. The exciting gala will be held on Saturday evening, January 21, 2006, at the residence of prominent attorney, Charles and Cyndi Mathis from 7:00pm -12:00am. All proceeds from the event will benefit Jaden's Ladder in their effort to provide post-shelter care and guidance to domestic violence survivors trying to reestablish their lives. Jaden's Ladder is dedicated to providing services that empower survivors to break the cycle of domestic violence, become active members of the community and reach new personal milestones.

The evening will feature television and radio personality Ryan Cameron of V-103, as Master of Ceremonies. Highlighting the live entertainment will be Keith Sweat, multi-platinum recording artist and Hidden Beach Saxophonist Mike Phillips. Internationally known chefs John Beals and Joe Rickerson will prepare a scrumptious dinner buffet for the evening's affair and the local restaurant, Haven, will provide delicious hors d'oeuvres and specialty wines for the invitation only reception. Guests will dance and mingle with local and national celebrities, athletes, and special invitees and be entertained by an exhilarating fashion show, courtesy of Teresa Caldwell and Taste Boutique. A live charity auction, featuring sports memorabilia, spa packages and artwork from the internationally renowned neo-mannerist artist Ernie Barnes and other donated items, will be held during the event.

"We are overwhelmed and delighted with the outpouring of support from Andruw and Nicole Jones as well as the entire Atlanta community. We hope that this fundraiser will provide the resources necessary to establish a strong foundation for the Atlanta-based Southeast Chapter..one that enables us to empower domestic violence survivors to take back their lives," said Oneta Bobbett, co-founder of Jaden's Ladder.
A limited number of VIP tables and tickets are now available. Tickets for the evening are $250 each. VIP tables, which include tickets to a private wine tasting reception, and individual tickets can be purchased by calling 1-877-430-1118 or online at www.jadensladder.org.
