Atlanta Braves' Andruw Jones and Nicole Jones to host “A Summer’s Night Dream” benefit for Jaden's Ladder

Rye, NH – April 3, 2007 - Jaden’s Ladder, a non profit organization that assists survivors of domestic violence, today announced that Atlanta Braves’ Andruw Jones and his wife, Nicole, will host the annual Jaden’s Ladder benefit, “A Summer’s Night Dream”, on Saturday, May 19, 2007 from 5:00pm-12:00am at the Wentworth Country Club in Rye, NH.  Mr. and Mrs. Jones are “Jaden’s Ladder Ambassadors” and plan to host the event as part of their efforts to raise funds and awareness in support of Jaden’s Ladder. Jaden's Ladder is dedicated to providing services that empower survivors to break the cycle of domestic violence, become active members of the community and reach new personal milestones. All proceeds from the event will benefit Jaden's Ladder.

“Early in 2005, we hosted our very first New Hampshire benefit to launch Jaden’s Ladder.  The funds we raised that evening helped to set a solid foundation for an organization that is truly making a difference in the lives of domestic violence survivors,” said Andruw Jones of the Atlanta Braves. “Nicole and I recognize the continued importance of the services that Jaden’s Ladder provides, and we look forward to hosting the upcoming benefit in May.” The benefit will feature a gourmet dinner as well as dancing and an opportunity to mingle with special guests of honor. The event will additionally include a live charity auction including sports and entertainment memorabilia, select wines, gift certificates and more. “Working with Jaden’s Ladder in New Hampshire, as well as in the local Atlanta community, has really helped me understand the lives of domestic violence survivors,” said Nicole Jones. “Jaden’s Ladder not only helps to stop the violence but provides survivors with the services and support they need to establish new lives that are healthy and self sufficient.  As Jaden’s Ladder Ambassadors, Andruw and I remain committed to this important cause.”

“Since launching Jaden’s Ladder in New Hampshire in January 2005, we have been able to provide life-altering support to many families in the area,” said Oneta Bobbett, co-founder, Jaden’s Ladder. “In particular, we are especially pleased about our new scholarship and personal development programs. With the help of Jaden’s Ladder, our families are going to summer camps, attending college, and starting new businesses. All of these achievements could not have been possible without generous support from the Jones’ and other local champions.”  This year’s event has been generously sponsored by The Hahn Group/Merrill Lynch Private Client Group, Chrisrial Jewelers, Portsmouth Magazine and John and Oneta Bobbett.

A limited number of sponsorships and tickets are now available for the May 2007 event. Tickets are $175 per person.
